STRUCTURE / BODY / BREATH / FOCUS
Our practice is based heavily on structure, which allows for deeper concentration and presence. In this workshop, we will explore the Tristhana, the three areas of attention while practicing yoga asana (body, breath, gaze). When we have a clear understanding of these three areas within our practice, we’ll discover how movement becomes meditation.
In this workshop, students will integrate:
Body – movement of the spine, how muscles really work, ideal alignment of each posture
Breath – pranayama, muscles of respiration, lung capacity
Focus – he central nervous system and states of the mind
